All the WLL telephone numbers of Calcutta Telephones changed from
7 digits to 8 digits.     

FWT Subscribers: All FWT numbers will be prefixed with "2" (e.g. Tele no. 706 2626 will be changed to 27062626.

WLL -M numbers: First digit "7" will be replaced by 21(e.g. 7068000 will be changed to 21068000).

Both FWT and WLL-M telephones provided to subscribers has to be reregistered for conversion to 8 digits.

PROCEDURE FOR RE-PROGRAMMING YOUR WLL-FWT SET
Step  1	Lift your handset and listen to dial tone
Step  2	Dial # # 0000000 # 1 # 1 # 1 * replace handset and lift it again (Note : there will be no dial tone.)
Step  3	Dial # # 0000000 # 1 # 3 # 002 old number* replace handset and lift it again  (Note : there will be no dial tone.)
Step  4	Dial # # 0000000 # 1 # 4 # 404* replace handset and lift it again (Note : there will be no dial tone.)
Step  5	Dial # # 0000000 # 1 # 5 # 00* replace handset and lift it again (Note : there will be no dial tone.)
Step  6	Dial # # 0000000 # 1 # 6 # 2222* 15* replace handset and lift it again (Note : there will be no dial tone.)
Step  7	Dial # # 0000000 # 1 # 10 # 0042* 0083* replace handset
Step  8	Wait for a few second, then lift the handset and listen to the dial tone
Step  9	Please make a test call to another telephone.

Note  :
     
       1)   In case you make any mistake in any step, replace the handset and lift it              again. Now repeat the same step and proceed further.

       2)   If for any reason you abandon the procedure, switch off the FWT and power             on again and start from Step 1

       3)   In case any problem, kindly contact the nearest Customer Service Center.

Procedure for conversion of WLL-M is lengthy. Kindly contact WLL help-line 27062626 or SDE WLL (Tel. No.: 2334-2626, 2706-2626) or your nearest Customer Service Center or Commercial officer along with handset for conversion of WLL- M numbers (issued by Calcutta Telephones). FWT subscribers may also contact as above in case of any problem. The reregistration has to be done between 9:00 hrs. & 18:00 hrs. of 02/12/2002.

For all problems related to number change, dial 196 (24 hours IVRS) or     control room numbers 2254-0512 to 2254-0521 (from 09 am to 6 pm).    To know your current telephone number dial 164.
