United Bank of India (UBI) and BSNL solemnised the exchange of documents for UBI  Nationwide Implementation of VPN Projec at Hotel ITC Sonar Bangla, Kolkata on 14th June, 2006 in the presence of Shri P. K. Gupta, CMD, UBI and Shri A. K. Sinha, CMD, BSNL. Calcutta Telephones BSNL will provide 632 leased line circuits including MPLS backbone links in phased manner and give support for 8 years to UBI.
