Fixed Time (FT) Calls - FT Calls are booked only as Urgent calls.
- FT calls are to be booked at least 2 hours before the required time.
- Particular person (PP) facility is not available for FT calls.
- If a Fixed Time call is not set up within 15 minutes of the required time, the caller will have the option to cancel the call without any charges whatsoever or to accept it as a non fixed time call. The class of call may be changed at this stage or later, if so desired, and the usual rules for change of class of calls in case of non-fixed time calls will apply.
- If fixed time call is booked with one called number, an alternate called number can be given in case of No Reply from the called number.
- Fixed Time calls shall not take precedence over Lightning calls. They will be offered at the Fixed Time only if no other call of higher priority is pending at the time.
- In case of multiple trunk call requests for a particular time, the FT will be allotted on “first-come first-serve” basis.
Subscription Fixed Time Call (SFT) - Ordinary Fixed Time calls for at least 5 days in a week ( or 4 days if 2 Telegraph Holidays fall in a week ) may be treated as “ Subscription FT ” calls.
- Rules for Fixed Time Calls also apply to SFT calls.
- If SFT calls cancelled on any day during the period for which it is registered, it is charged fully.

Demand Calls - Operator assisted for immediate connection.
- These calls are charged as ‘URGENT’ Trunk calls and are connected immediately after verification of the calling party’s Phone number.
- Particular Person (PP) facility is not available on this service.
Reverse Charged (RC) Trunk Calls - Reverse charged Trunk Call facility is allowed on Trunk Calls only to those numbers registered as Reverse Charged (RC) number.
- On such calls charges are billed to the called party.
- Such calls shall not be available for calls originating from Private Telephones.Reverse Charged Trunk Calls shall be accepted only from Trunk Public Call offices and shall be permitted only to stations and telephone numbers specified in the card of Authority.

- Press Trunk Calls are treated at par with other trunk calls of equivalent priority from general public but enjoys a 12.5% rebate on the basic trunk call charges not on International trunk call charges .

INTERNATIONAL TRUNK CALLS

- All pending international trunk calls are treated as cancelled by midnight i.e. at 24:00 HR. of the next calendar day of the day of Booking in Kolkata.
