Managed Leased Line Network (MLLN)

The MLLN, Managed Leased Line Network is an integrated, fully managed, multi-service digital network platform through which BSNL can offer a wide range of services at an optimal cost to Business Subscribers. Backed by a flexible Network Management System with powerful diagnostics and maintenance tools, the MLLN can be used to provide high-speed leased lines with improved Quality of Service, High availability and reliability.

•  Leased line services with flexible access bandwidth

The MLLN provides variable bandwidth line connectivity. The State-of-the art technology equipment MLLN is designed mainly for effective control on the leased lines so that the down time is very much minimized and the circuit efficiency is increased thus achieving more customer satisfaction. This supports data ranging from 64 Kbps to 2048 Kbps.

In MLLN Network conventional PCM Primary Mux and subscriber Modems are replaced by Versatile Mux and Network Terminating Units respectively. MLLN mainly consists of Digital Cross Connect (DXC), Versatile Mux (V-Mux), Network Terminating Unit (NTU) and Network Management System (NMS). DXCs and V-Muxs are interconnected via optical fibre links and alternate routing facility incase of any route failure. V-Mux is in turn connected to NTUs at Customer premises through 2 wire copper pair. At the top of it NMS is suitably placed in a central location for effective control and monitor. NTUs are fully managed from NMS.They are programmable for different data speeds ranging from 64kbps to 2048kbps.
(n x 64 kbps; n = 1 to 32) depending upon the customer demand, thus having bandwidth control without changing Modem at his premises. NTUs operate on 230V AC.

   •   Generation of the periodic performance reports for self-analysis.

Leased circuits on MLLN can be provided in the places being served under the following Telephone Exchange Areas in Calcutta Telephones.
