For every new phone connection, or in case of a phone shift to a new address or on area diversion involving number change, the initial meter reading and date of installation data requires to be manually updated in the billing computer. So, after you get a new connection or there is a any phone number change, please make a close scrutiny of at least the 1st two bills for any mistakes. If you have any suspicion, immediately get in touch with your A.O.T.R. Otherwise, in the normal course if you get, according to you, an exorbitant bill, please get in touch with your A.O.T.R. with your previous 6 phone bills. Based on the average of these previous 6 bills get a provisional bill issued and pay the provisional bill to avoid disconnection of your phone line for non-payment of the disputed bill. Simultaneously, lodge an excess billing complaint in writing.
