Telephone line is liable for disconnection if the bill is not paid within the due date. A phone line is not disconnected in the afternoon on any day and also not disconnected on a day if the following day is a Saturday or a Holiday. For the first fifteen days after disconnection for non-payment, only the outgoing calls are blocked – you get an announcement regarding unpaid Telecom dues. If dues are not cleared, thereafter, both incoming and outgoing calls are blocked.
Reconnection : After disconnection for
non-payment, a phone is re-connected on payment of all its
outstanding dues.
If the dues are not paid within 3 months from the date of disconnection, the phone connection is treated as “Permanently Closed”. Restoration, thereafter, is subject to sanction of the Competent Authority. Rental charge for the period the phone remains disconnected on account of non-payment of dues, has to be borne by the subscriber. Even after clearing all Telecom dues, if your phone gets disconnected, please inform by dialing 1500 and inform your payment particulars : viz. | 1. Phone Number. | 2. Name of the Subscriber. | 3.
