Q 1.    What does the capacity in DIAS scheme specify? Does it mean upload data or download
           data?

Ans.   UPLOAD + DOWNLOAD. That means even browsing will result in some data transfer.

Q 2.   How do we monitor at our premises the amount of data accessed by us?

Ans. One can download the freeware program DUMETER from www.download.com to have an
          idea about the data access.

Q 3.   What will happen when data exceeds the prescribe limit only marginally ?

Ans.  One has to pay the data charge as specified in the tariff section for per 100MB basis.

Q 4.   Is there any provision to restrict my data access to the limit for which I have subscribed?

Ans.  This is under implementation. Will be available for the subscriber in due course of time.

Q 5.    Is there any rebate for the downtime of data access for a specified  period?

Ans.   Yes, there is provision for downtime rebate as per existing norms. You have to contact
           DE (Internal) of your local exchange for necessary details.

Q 6.   Can we use the connection for local INTERNET via PROXY?

Ans.  Yes.

Q 7.   How the bill for DIAS will be realized, monthly/bi-monthly?

Ans.  It will be realised with the existing phone bill and will be indicated separately in  the bill.
