Meter Reading Information Service 1962

 

       This service has been introduced in all the exchanges of Calcutta Telephones. By dialing 1962
       from any telephone, subscribers can get the current meter reading of that telephone. Earlier
       this service was available in some isolated exchanges by dialing different numbers and the
       calls were metered . Now this service has been introduced in all the exchanges through uniform
       code dialing. At the same time it has been made as non-metered. Officials posted at customer
       centers and those whose come in touch with the customers may intimate them about this service .
